The Valentine Dinner Dance was the catalyst for a much needed kitchen renovation. Once the crew started clearing the clubhouse kitchen, they just went wild, in a good way. Tuesday, Feb 11th:
Wow! We had a great turn our for our Spaghettai supper and dance on February 8th! The ladies did a fine job on the meal, and the band, BId Daddy and the Hoochey Pappas were awesome. By awesome, I mean they were competent, can carry a tune, appeared to be having fun, and did not blow my ears out by being too loud! Thanks to everyone who helped and to everyone who came to enjoy the evening.

One of the fund raisers we are initiating for the new showes/restrooms is the placement of advertising sings around the arena fences. These signs will be 18" x 24" corregated plastic signboards with four grommets. They wont be really fancy, just yet, but they will get your information across to spectators to the Circle X. The first year cost will be $50, and yearly renewals will be $40, unless a new sign is needed, or information changed on the...Read Full Post »

It has been much discussed and debated over the past few years of updating or replacing the outdoor restrooms at the Circle X. To bring the Circle X into the modern age, we want to do more than update the outdated pit toilets we have. They have served their purpose well, and do still function, however, many of our young people, having never experienced outhouses as a way of everyday life are loath to explore and appreciate the past.

A little while back we lost a long time and valued member of the Circle X Family. Vic Culy passed away. He loved coming to the Circle X on Horse Show days and watch the children show their horses and ride in the contesting classes. He loved to ddribve his team of drafts, and he was widely known for his chariot teams. I have heard some really hair raising stories about those 'good ol days!' He will be missed by all who knew him. Prayers to the family. ...Read Full Post »
